THE PAGANI HUAYRA

The Art of Pagani

Even when it's stationary the 2012 Pagani Huayra is mesmerizing. As one would expect from Horacio Pagani's background in carbon-fiber research, the Huayra's composition is exotic. The bodywork is carbon fiber, of course. The car measures 180.3 inches overall, 80.2 inches wide and 46 inches high.

The carbon-fiber monocoque beneath features carbon-titanium. The tub's titanium reinforcement allows the plastic to flex rather than shatter when it responds to an impact, and yet structural strength and integrity aren't compromised.

Currently Horacio Pagani is being quite coy about the Huayra's performance and says, "Maximum speed is not the most important thing for us." Yet in the next breath he mentions that 230 mph has been seen in testing. Zero to 100 km/h (62 mph)? The best Pagani has seen in cold track conditions is 3.3 seconds, which is pretty good considering the difficulty of getting the tires to hook up so much engine torque (a three-stage traction and stability control system from Bosch helps).

When you take a seat in the car (look, airbags!), you'll find shift paddles on the steering wheel and a lever on the center console. Horacio Pagani has tried to maintain the special link between man and machine by giving the shift linkage a heavy, mechanical feel. Even the center console itself has been machined from a single block of aluminum. At the same time, there's a satellite navigation system with a touchscreen, because the Huayra is meant to be a GT car, not a racing car.

The Future of Flamboyance
The 2012 Pagani Huayra is a step into the future for Pagani. A decade ago, the Zonda cost $320,000, but now the Huayra will carry a price tag of about $1.4 million, and that's for the version with the standard engine.

Oke sih oke, tapi harganya ituloh, gila bangets.Mendingan LAMBORGHINI harganya lebih mendingan.

Super AMOLED

Super Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode or Super AMOLED is a display technology (variant from AMOLED) mainly for use in mobile devices such as mobile phones (see the list below for examples). One of the main differences from other display technologies is that the layer that detects touch is integrated into the screen rather than being overlaid on top.

Compared with the first-generation AMOLED, some of the Super AMOLED advantages are brighter screens, less sunlight reflection and reduced power consumption.

Below is information on future Organic Light Emitting Diode display and lighting technology.Since 2004, the platform has provided information on new products, technologies and trends.

At the FPD-International 2011 in Japan, AUO showcased a 32 inch OLED-Tv.
Now we got more technical details and two new pictures from TechoN.
The OLED-Tv is a Oxide-TFT IGZO based and the TV uses a bottom emission OLED.
AUO use vapor deposition using a metal mask, the Television features:
  • Full HD 1920×1080 pixel
  • 100.000 contrast ratio
  • 0.01 ms response time
  • 200 cd/m² brightness

Ink jet printed Carbon nanotube that drives OLEDs from Aneeva

A startup company at UCLAs campus named Aneeva has fabricate a new fuly ink-jet printed CNT carbon nanotube that can be used to drive OLED panels.
Aneeva announced that this is one of the first practical demonstration of carbon nanotube–based printed circuits for display backplane applications.
With this process it shows significant performance advantages over traditional organic-based printed electronics.
This new technology can also compete with a-Si and metal-oxide smiconductor technology.

Philips Lumiblade You fade to light OLED wall at Random International in Miami

Lumiblade OLEDs are large area diffuse light sources made from extremely thin glass and feature a perfect mirror finish. OLEDs are the closest to the temperature of natural light.
With custom software developed by designer Chris O’Shea, it has been built in London with several hundred unique OLEDs from the world’s first-ever production line for OLED lighting at Philips in Aachen, Germany.

Korean Government founded OLED consortium to boost OLED display-lighting technology

Like the japanese government now the korean government want to found a consortium which has the goal to develop OLED Displays and lighting technology.
In order to concentrate activities in Korea, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy created a list identifying ten core next generation materials to be developed over the next few years.
The government named this consortium World premier materials or WPM! 26 institutes and companies have formed this consortium to develop flexible displays and materials.
The consortium’s main goal is to produce materials for a 1250mm flexible display LCDs or OLEDs to be used in a 40” flexible display TV by 2018.
LG Chem is about to invest in mass production of OLED lighting panels while Cheil Industries will invest in OLED display materials. Other medium-sized companies like Samyang EMS and SSCP and Dow Chemical are aggressively operating OLED related businesses in Korea. Reportedly, LG Chem will build a Gen 2 OLED lighting panel pilot with mass production for 2013. It is also estimated that Cheil Industries will invest about KRW 10.8 billion (USD 9.5 million) on OLED materials-ETL and HTL- and KRW9.1 billion (USD 7.9 million) on Pixel Defining Layer (PDL). Cheil Industries will build a production facility in Kumi servicing SAMD with OLED materials for small & medium displays and TVs. Samyang group, Samyang EMS and SSCP also initiated efforts in the OLED materials business. SSCP held a press conference announcing that it is supplying LITI donor film for the SMD pilot line.
The consortium is currently made up of the following members:
  • Cheil Industries
  • Daelim Chemical
  • Polyscientech
  • SMD
  • Samsung Electronics
  • Kolon Industry
  • Hyundai Mobis
  • Hyundai Automobile
  • Inktech
  • Advanced Nano Product
  • NNP
  • E Pone
  • LG Chem
  • I-Component
  • LG Display
